I see those relationships that are based on being together at the moment, but not really seeing the possibility of the future together. I can’t do that. Every time I enter a relationship, I have dreams and visions in my head – of a little house, of children, of a little swing in the garden. Taking days as they come is fine, but at the end, I want something that’s mine. I want to be old and have someone that knows me well (too well, even!) and smiles at my weaknesses. So as hopelessly romantic as it is, I want marriage. Not for the sake of marriage itself of course, it needs the right person – but I believe that someday me and my partner (maybe not this one, although like every person in love I really hope it will be him) decide that we like those dreams and want to work to make them true. Sure, divorces and unhappy marriages are everywhere and it can make you scared. But it’s them, not us. Everyone is making his/her own story and has a chance to make it good and beautiful. And I am sure that your experience and what you’ve learnt about yourself will be a great help in that. Your smile on that photo is a proof that it’s worth fighting for.
